Noteworthy that my MP (Labour) wrote to me to say welfare is safe in Pat McFadden's hands. Why have Labour rekindled the whole disability welfare thing while the Timms Review happening?
Labour's Comms go from farce to tragedy.

Labour MPs who voted against welfare cuts concerned over the govt plans to change the assessment for universal credit disability benefits.

Could trigger another mass rebellion.

Why no focus on corporate welfare - bailouts, £895bn QE, subsidies, tax abuses, no end to profiteering.
Labour faces another mass rebellion over reforms to universal credit
Welfare secretary Pat McFadden plans further reforms to the benefits system, expected to include abolishing the work capability assessment.

Indeed. It's going to be tricky for them while waiting lists for healthcare are so long. Certainly more folks ive spoken to in the North East having to wait before being even getting placed on a waiting list.
Sick of the Tories, now sick of Labour.

Will it be voluntary? Ie-can a person with a long-term condition see their GP without this 'DWP gooseberry' being a condition of seeing a doctor?

And Rachel Reeves is still puzzled as to what causes the cost of living crisis. Who will vote for Labour when the regulators are allowed to shore up shareholders/billionaires in this way?

Water bills for England households to rise even higher.

Bills already up by 36%. Competition regulator permits another 1%-5%, £556m hike

No curbs on exec pay, dividends, sewage dumping as companies raise capital from customers, shareholders get returns.

End the Scam. Nationalise water
Five water firms provisionally allowed to raise bills by further 1% to 5%
An independent group appointed by the competition watchdog rejected nearly 80% of increases sought by companies.

Not sure of the legalities of this-but if it encourages landlords to bring properties back into use would welcome this.

Common sense really-one example being future water conflicts-causes:
1. Global warming.
2. Disproportionate building/growth of English South East/Midlands.
3. A commodified water provider with wasted water/under-investment.
4. regional shortages of water and food growing reliant on that water.
