I found a little baby pink floppy bunny for Pink Bunny to care for.

2 of 3 shops I tried to do a pre release event at said that they usually expect to receive 48 boxes, but this time they were only sent 32. I would have been able to play if they had the inventory they expected.

It certainly seems like Play Pokemon is manufacturing scarcity.

10 stores were willing to answer my questions.

Their price per pack ranged from $4.99 (MSRP) to $12.99, and results averaged to $6.99/pack, which seems expected. The current "market price" is $8.80.

4 results were within +20% of MSRP,
4 were within +21-50% MSRP,
The others were +80% and +160%.

With the last set, I realized stores would sell them close to MSRP for the first couple weeks and then price gauge them after the "market price" was more stable, so I decided to call the stores in my area and see what they sell for on release day.

These were the highlights. I was amazed that the first 4 packs I opened all had an EX card.
