And this, quite frankly, is why I ultimately chose NOT to go to an in-person No Kings protest on Saturday, because I am a 5' 2" disabled woman, and if some jerkoff pretending to be a cop starts throwing me around, they could kill me, and I have too much I still want to accomplish to allow that.
I'm not generally a fan of genetic engineering, but having lost my husband to an aggressive and painful autoimmune disorder, and dealing with rheumatoid arthritis myself, this is a potential game changer, if it proves safe and effective to use long term.

I've wondered the same, especially being in a red state and speaking out regularly against our current fascists in power.
