If
a) you follow me, AND we've chatted previously, feel free to leave a "quip", that's what adults do,
b) we've never chatted, and you don't follow me then before commenting on a post of mine, work out whether you have anything useful or intelligent to say, if not DON'T!!

You will be blocked
crikeys.bsky.social
If you want to fight me on something I say, please at least, reply to the points I make. It's called intelligent debate.

If instead you just keep tooting your own horn, I'm going to block you!

I liked following you, but, no! If you won't respond to my points then I'm happy to lose you 😁

That's why I have an appointment, in 3 weeks time, to speak with my GP.

I would never expect medical advice from social media but I do expect to hear what kind of behaviour other people feel is acceptable, and as always, people have told me. What I experienced was wholly unacceptable.

I'm beyond horrified. If I had just trusted her and not read the leaflet inside the tablet box i dread to think what would have happened!

Now that the major stresses are resolved my BP is coming down slowly, as one might expect, if she had any real knowledge of me 🤷‍♀️
crikeys.bsky.social
I didn't even see them! This was done by "non-reply texts", apart from when this unidentified person wanted a response.

Communicating with the surgery is definitely feeling like I'm in an abusive relationship 🙄

I am, but a Masters is normally a one year course, how on earth does that make a nurse pretty much equivalent to a GP who studies for many years? My daughter is a nurse. I have a Masters in science.
crikeys.bsky.social
I wouldn't have expected a pharmacist to do this, as they don't have the medical history.

She's apparently a "nurse practitioner" who after doing a short course can now apparently diagnose, prescribe and order tests!!! So a crap doctor.
GPs study for many years. She can't even read my notes! FFS!
crikeys.bsky.social
No. It's just abject neglect 😁
crikeys.bsky.social
But whatever label she has, she needs to be able to read. No-one else has ever missed my 60 year allergy to Penicillin.
crikeys.bsky.social
Plus she clearly didn't read my notes, a 60 year allergy to Penicillin is pretty relevant.
crikeys.bsky.social
There was a lot online about them last year but the guidelines made it very certain that they had to identify themselves and make it clear they aren't doctors, and that if they were asked to refer the matter to a doctor they had to do that. She did neither.

It's lovely to find a common soul ❤️

I've had numerous allergies since a child, pet and human dander, pet saliva, dry rot, mildew, all sorts of pollen, dust, perfumes, penicillin etc plus throughout adult life various things, sometimes for just a few years, deodorants, or cold air, some yoghurts 🤷‍♀️
crikeys.bsky.social
That sounds awful! Do please keep yourself safe xx
crikeys.bsky.social
No I very much welcome your input, thank you.

I'm just horrified that a nurse chose this new medication for me, and didn't refer it to a doctor as I requested! For 60 years my medical notes have stated that I'm allergic to Penicillin! I'm beyond gobsmacked!
crikeys.bsky.social
Exactly!

Plus they are well aware that I've had horrible, and inadequate, PTSD treatment on the nhs, and that due to the GPs unwillingness to help, my estranged husband has now lost his job. It's really no surprise my BP is high, so possibly rebuilding trust might help, not providing worse care 🤷‍♀️
crikeys.bsky.social
I've an online pharmacist, tbh they don't know my complex medical history, but a normal pharmacy wouldn't either 🤷‍♀️
crikeys.bsky.social
Very true 😁 but before l lived here, I lived near the hills and absolutely everything was about sheep, all the time...
crikeys.bsky.social
Goodness only knows! Plus this was all sorted out via text message and my request that she checked with my doctor was ignored. If I don't get a satisfactory response from the GP when we speak in a few weeks time I will be submitting a complaint.
crikeys.bsky.social
Have a peaceful night Sarah xx
crikeys.bsky.social
I'm not taking them. I wrote a polite, but blunt letter to the GP. I've an appointment in 3 weeks time. So it's clearly not urgent 🙄
crikeys.bsky.social
Oh yes!! I'd love you nearby ❤️

Imagine all the wonderful workshops you could do, natural dyeing, crochet/knitting, blimey even photography because your pictures are beautiful. There's a LOT of sheep in Northumberland, imagine all that dyeing 😁
crikeys.bsky.social
Indeed! Plus the rest of the side effects were heart rhythm disruption - i have atrial fibrillation! - and the rest were allergic responses, I'm allergic to a ridiculous amount of things!
crikeys.bsky.social
I'm already on 2 tablets for BP. The 3rd tablet was prescribed by a nurse. I've never experienced this before. Any medication changes have previously been made by my GP as I've a number of conditions.

The new tablet can cause blindness if you're allergic to Penicillin. I'm allergic to Penicillin!
crikeys.bsky.social
That really gets on my nerves! I've, never, in real life ever encountered anyone who speaks like this, and if they did I'd be backing away whilst tutting very, very quietly.
