Great point! Assassin's Creed has been way more inclusive in its design and storytelling than most AAA franchises.

I agree people shouldn't be picking on them when there's clearly way more other games can be doing.

This canceled idea wouldn't even be the first time a game like this was released by Ubisoft.

Yeah this is just all bad. EA laid off tons of people to make themselves attractive for an acquisition and soon even more people will lose their jobs.

Meanwhile, major stock holders are getting a fat paycheck and investors get a shiny new asset to bleed dry.

Everyone wins except the workers.

A lot of people are (understandably) focused on the Saudi Arabia and Kushner part of this, but the far bigger immediate impact will come from the new private EA being on the hook for $20 billion in debt. That could mean mass layoffs, more aggressive monetization, and other big cost-cutting measures

Nexstar is still refusing to air Jimmy Kimmel Live despite Disney bringing it back. Considering that and this price increase, people should continue canceling anyway so Disney gives Nexstar a kick in the ass to stop complying in advance.
