Heated Rivalry S2 has the opportunity to fucking RUIN US even worse with the Long Game Instagram DMs if they turn them into Russian voice notes. Give us Shane having to listen to them and, this time, understand the Russian Ilya's saying to him. It'd be the most devastating call back to the S1 call

Ilya spent most of his NHL career in Boston while actively learning/working on his English. You know he picked up Boston terms. He says wicked/calls a traffic circle a rotary/Dunkins is Dunks/liquor store is a packie. Give me Shane looking at Ilya and realizing he learned fucking BOSTON English

Heated Rivalry has the opportunity in the gap between seasons to start instagram pages for Shane and Ilya and they need to take it. The fandom (especially the book readers) would have a months-long crash out over it and keep hype up while other countries acquire streaming rights. Keep the momentum

Because I've seen some people giving Ilya crap for how he brought up liking girls and also Shane, can we please remember that while his English is better than it was when they met, it's not his first language, so expressing himself in English isn't going to come as naturally as it would for Shane
