For the curious, Leo is an Illithid who was unfortunately changed during the Battle of Baldur's Gate.
I'm using the Psion class from Unearthed Arcana, specifically the Telepath subclass. We've taken both iterations of it and formed it into a class that makes the most sense for our story!
