I didn't know I needed the movie as much as I did. I was never a huge Superman fan, but the message of hope triggered a feeling I haven't felt coming out of a movie in a long, long while.

@flophousepodcast.bsky.social I was fascinated by the question about silliness and sequels. James Bond came to mind in that it reboots to seriousness after a certain Bond fills its silliness quotient. (Dalton and Craig after Connery and Brosnan, respectively.)
