Finally was Langford Lakes- just the 3 Green Sand, 1 Snipe, 2 less showy Kingfishers and a distinct lack of photos from me…

Next was Blashford Lakes.

Very distant Ruff and Dunlin, Black-necked Grebe that was distant enough for my camera to struggle and a showy Kingfisher.

3 sites hit on a trip back from the south coast today. Initially, very little moving around Worth Matravers bar some auks and Siskins.

Then onto Lytchett Fields- Curlew Sand, Little Stint, 2 Grey Plover, Marsh Harrier + a new site to me! @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @harbourbirds.bsky.social

A weekend of abundance over variety for me.

C.200 Meadow Pipit and c.100 Chiffchaff on a slow cycle around Salisbury Plain this morning. 3 Wheatear and 2 Whinchat were also inevitable at this time of year. Great to see mass Swallow and Martin migration yesterday and today too

A long anticipated return to BlueSky I’m sure… but I have been birding!

More so recently with an overnighter to Portland last week with Ruff and Little Owl and some really nice migrants, WOS Youth trips (Marsh Harrier) and autumn on my patch with the Wheatear!
Let’s see what else autumn brings🍂
