There is no way to avoid seeing AI slop when you open the Meta AI app on iOS.

Pathetic.

Amazing turnaround by the China's CMSA to prep the Shenzhou 22 spacecraft and Long March rocket to be launched only 11 days after the return of the suspect Shenzhou 20 capsule.

NASA took months to decide what to do with the Starliner spacecraft.

I played with the new Nano Banana, the new image generator inside Google's Gemini.

It created this graphic about Enshittification from a short prompt on the first try.

Quite impressive.

Long ago, I worked in electronic warfare. What Night Watch is doing today is impressive. Attacking a hardened military target traveling at Mach 4+ is non-trivial.

Just spent 3+ hours with ChatGPT trying to get it to write a script to convert old DVD image folders to MKV files.

It was one of the most frustrating experiences with ChatGPT forgetting requirements, repeated syntax failures, and many steps backward.

I can't imagine using it for something serious.

Microsoft can't make search work on the desktop, how do they think they are going to make AI work there?
November 18, 2025 at 5:28 PM
Microsoft has spent well over $100 billion to get to this.
