Hyperlink text should make sense when read out of context. Screen reader users can navigate from link to link, and can listen to links in a list. When navigating this way, only the link is read. So "click here" or "read more" won't make sense.

Every time there’s a threatened #TikTok ban…

Me: “Do you know what can’t ban you? Your website.”

Build a one simple page website, email list, plug your other social media platforms and cross post your content.

Quit putting all your eggs in one basket. ✨

One of our core values is fostering an inclusive culture. Yesterday, a potential client was sharing their screen and accidentally showed a Slack message with another team member who was also on the call. 👇

One of my favorite things about being a brand designer is unexpectedly seeing our client’s brand out in the wild.

Also, it makes my heart swell three times its size when I see them following their brand guidelines too! 🫶🏼

Staring at our website content and realizing it doesn’t fit with our brand messaging anymore.

✅ Add brand content strategy and website rewrite to 2025 Q1 goals.

I’ve launched fewer projects this year than last, but that was the plan. My goal was to redefine Crushing Pixels—I felt stuck in the hamster wheel and needed to step back from client work to build a stronger foundation & team. I’m starting to come together and excited for what’s next!

The first computer I ever coded on was a Commodore 64/128. I remember coding little color plots in a x,y grid to make a picture. I also remember using a timer function to make the white colored plots move down the screen, like snow. I was in 6th grade and can’t remember the name of the program.

Link text should be able to stand on its own, so the user knows without ambiguity what clicking the link will do.

Link text should not be a mystery

Living in Arizona, we sleep with the windows open when it’s 39F.

Probably because it’s a hot sweaty armpit the other 9 months of the year.

Anyone else on overdrive this week to get all the things done so we can enjoy our families next week? That entrepreneur life is wild.

Our office Orbi mesh network finally died today. Do we get another Orbi setup or is Eero the way to go these days? @ #networking #smallbusiness #officespace #wifi #internet #officesetup
