It feels so stupid to have my life slowly unravel as I miss appointments just because I'm not sleeping well because DHL didn't deliver my mattress so now all I have is an airbed

Basically nothing matters until you can finish a comic. Doesn't have to be long but I talk to so many people who ask how they can pitch to a publisher and I'm sorry but the abstract idea isn't important. Publishers only want to know if you can do a beginning, middle and end and get it done on time.
