This day is to raise awareness around the world that women are subjected to rape, domestic violence and other forms of violence; one of the aims of the day is to highlight that the true nature of the issue is often hidden.

The CUPE 7575 sponsored tree at The Christmas Tree Spectacular at the St. Thomas Railroad Museum. Funds raised will be going to the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser. The event starts today and admission is free.
