Today the Commissioner wrote to a number of local councils to encourage them to apply for the UK Town of Culture 2028. He also met with Economy Minister Caoimhe Archibald MLA, discussing the broadcast fund, tourism potential, social economy opportunities and diaspora engagement.

Out and about today, starting in Ballymoney with the FuseFM Ulster-Scots Hub on their range of output, future plans and opportunities. Then on to Coleraine to meet Gregory Campbell MP; the Causeway Mayor Oliver McMullan and senior council officers Pat Mulvenna and Julie Welsh.

The day began with an engagement meeting online with Baroness Arlene Foster then more educational sector outreach St Mary’s University College with Prof Peter Finn KSG. Lastly, another online meeting to discuss the cultural needs of border Ulster-Scots and Ulster-British communities.
