It seems to me a horse race between Smashing Pumpkins, Oasis and Alice In Chains. Soundgarden's snubs, probably because of the lawsuit between Cornell's widow and the band, seems to be the hold-up. If Oasis is nominated, it would be their third time, so they may get a clear shot.
