It was a pleasure to hold a book talk at the Elliott Museum in Stuart, Florida regarding my novel, Shadow Islands. We had a good crowd and lively discussion. I recommend the Elliott to anyone who happens to be in the Stuart area.

We had a lively and engaging book talk Sunday re SHADOW ISLANDS. I was fortunate to be joined by V.S. Kemanis, author of INDELICATE DECEPTION. I’m very grateful to the wonderful bookstore Hudson Valley Books for Humanity (Ossining, N.Y.) for hosting us.

Kudos to 60 Minutes for its touching report on talented young musicians prohibited from playing with the Marine Corps Band due to an order from ignorant and petty plutocrats. Well done! Somewhere Edmund R. Murrow is smiling.

My Irish heritage predisposes me against accolades to the British monarchy. However, today King Charles gets a standing ovation.

Any truth to the rumor that Macron gave Trump an invoice for the cost of French support during the Revolutionary War (with interest from 1778)?

We have gone from a country which espoused “Never Again” to a clique of plutocrats who embrace “Neville (Chamberlain) Again.”
