We are deeply grateful to all the reviewers and editors who devote their time and expertise to provide thoughtful assessments and meaningful feedback. Our thanks also go to the authors, who place their trust in us and work diligently to improve their manuscripts throughout the review process. 🙏 ✨

... because it's hard to get quality reviews.

In 2024, we sent a total of 2,415 review requests - that's 26 per article!

Most of these requests were left unanswered, and only 11% were accepted. Even among those, some were of low quality, and some were never delivered.

So to all reviewers:

How long does it take?

70% of manuscripts received the initial editorial decision within 10 days (M = 11 days).

50% of manuscripts sent to reviews received the decision after the first round of reviews within 146 days from submission (M = 167 days).

Why so long?...

What are the chances of getting published?

Our acceptance rate is around 9%.

BUT most rejections happen after the initial editorial evaluation or after the first round of reviews. So if you get invited to revise the manuscript, the chances of getting published are high!
cyberpsy.bsky.social
How many submissions?

In 2024, we received 501 new submissions - our highest number ever!🤩

And we are on track to surpass that in 2025 🥲😮‍💨
