Each km driven by car costs society €0.11, while cycling and walking benefit society €0.18 / €0.37 per km. "The cost of #EU automobility is ± €500 billion per year. Due to positive health effects, cycling is an external benefit worth €24 billion/yr & walking €66 billion/yr."
