"There is a harmony in autumn, and a lustre in its sky, which through the summer is not heard or seen."

Chestnuts a great source of protein. And it's a bumper year for them. I love foraging it gets you away from the shops and in to nature for your food, which is good for you mentally and physically #foraging #nature #mentalhealth
On two wheels, I find my peace, through winding roads where worries cease. Each turn of the crank, a breath of relief, as mountains and valleys help heal my grief. The rhythm of the ride is a soothing balm, in the heart of adventure, I find my calm. #cyclingformentalhealth
I am just the same l'm really struggling since what was supposed to have been my big trip was cut short. I just feel lost, fatigued and low mood, but l know I will come good.
The autumn leaves rustle and the brittle wind blown branches snap beneath my tyres,

The low sun created a golden glow warming the freshly ploughed fields, as moisture rises, giving a low mist,

The smell of decay as this years leaves decompose to feed next years emerald green leaves.

A great wee cycle forage in the woods today 6kg of Chestnuts and some Fly Agaric. Loads of parasols mushrooms. Loving the Autumnal colours.
"This is Where I heal my hurt"- Faithless.
Woodland is such a healing place, I don't know what's happening but this year has been a struggle.

Hi Gosia do you have the gpx routes you have done x
Thanks Gosia you are right, I am hard on myself at times, I had hoped to come home recover then set off but with the Scorching heat I couldnt face setting off again, then my mother who is terminal became even more ill so that was another reason not to go far x
A couple of photos from my big trip, after the Old Chalk Way I cycled to Lands End with the hopes of reaching John OGroats but I had to quit due to getting Gastroenteritis at Chepstow, this floored me and took any will I had left. 750 miles in total.
Congratulations to you both, wishing you health and happiness for the future
The highlight of my Old chalk way trip, Meeting my long term friend Charlie, another cycler we've known each other years. But rarely get to meet.
The old Chalk way, a great off road route, which I highly recommend. The weather wasn't so kind and we had a lot of heavy rain, but I didn't mind, it did however make the chalk like a ice rink.
The old chalk way. Wet and wonderful so far
Cambridge to London gravel route.. Wildcamping, in a woodland, whispering, so not to be discovered, listening to all the woodland noises. Magical.
Congratulations to you both
Lama Ranch- A couple who have built cabins for cyclists and walkers to stay in free of charge. There is two bottles of wine in each cabin, beds, electric showers, a fridge on the porch filled with cold beer and soft drinks and sandwiches. All they ask is pay it forward, such kind people.
