I think some attention should be paid to companies who are supporting ICE. Those who fire employees who video ICE raids. Or don't support employees wrongly brutalized by ICE. You know the ones. They're doing it quietly, thinking we won't notice.

My childhood Thanksgivings were celebrated differently (and less expensively).

Instead of a big meal in the afternoon, we would all meet early in the morning, feast on fresh blueberry muffins and crispy bacon, while watching the Macy's parade.

I know it's not the turkey and tension, but it worked.
