To be fair, there are many local elections beyond the Governor of Virginia and the mayor of New York. It's understandable that people may be a little confused. Some may be older people who don't live online.

I think it was ok to ask details about what may have prompted this. The mistake was when you told CC they should have spoken up sooner--that was inappropriate and strange. They TOLD you. They called for curfew and wanted instant obedience and when they didn't get it, they started hitting people.
