I was offline in Yellowstone for a week with friends, and it was fantastic. I got to relax and have fun conversations, got a very good photo of a cute fox, and just had a good time. (Fox photo included)

I think soooo much of our discourse around this kind of stuff is that many people don't realize all of the hidden costs of things like fossil fuels, since they never see the wells or refineries up close and see the damage they have done

this kind of reporting from you all is why I stopped subscribing to you and many outlets, in areas that I am highly knowledgeable including trans issues, AI and cybersecurity (my day job), and so on I kept seeing so many errors and misinterpretations that I could not longer trust you reporting

This is why I have gone back to buying direct from authors and musicians, supporting independent media outlets, subscribing to streaming services I believe in (like Dropout and Nebula), and since doing that I enjoy engaging with the media I consume, while also consuming less crap. Its a win win.

This can be more expensive but you will actually engage with it and care for it, and only consume things you really want to consume. While also not supporting companies making stuff you don't care for or support.

Speak with your wallet, cancel your subscriptions, subscribe to companies and people who you fully support. You don't need to see everything, or read everything. Buy and own media when you can.

No matter what #Musk says or does, many on the left continue to post on and pay for X, a clear example of how progressive movements are beholden to the narrative that we don't have to change anything at all about our lives to achieve our political goals.

was considering applying for PhD programs at UC Berkeley, guess I won't be doing that. Also love that I got an email from their graduate admissions program yesterday talking about DEI and what not, guess that is not really true.

Its really telling to see people not active bluesky complain about every post they see ___, and then I am on bluesky and see none of that. Maybe you are just bad at social media and put yourself into a little bubble of terrible people, regardless of what platform you are on

I love when people try to argue using nation wide numbers, its just so stupid. A house Florida is not the same as a house in Colorado. People want to live in different places for different reasons, and have shifted our preferences for where we want to live.
