One thing I've always loved about ST which DS9 does really well is how often they link current or historical issues to their world
Whether it be speculative like those EPs or just flat out criticising their ancestors (us living now) for the shit that happened in their history (happening to us now)

I'm mostly thinking in terms of artists and how quite a few have "No Mecha" as a term
Mostly just trying to get a general reading for what typically counts (of course that said I'd still ask each person I wish to commission from and such but it's good to have a general idea)

If a character has a robotic arm, like a more mechanical one like what Kat from Halo Reach or Chai (hifi rush) or Yang (rwby)

Would that count as Mecha? Or is mecha like the full robot/anime mech/power suit kinda thing??

Because in the past, if you can't pay a fine, you'd go to prison and work until that fine is paid off. Debtors prison basically (I think Dickens was in one iirc).
But if the country doesn't have that anymore it's just like an arbitrarily pointless policy.

That's why I kinda imagine it happening instantly. Because "union state" to me implies not just belarus but also russia, which IS actively in a war.
So really it just seems like an excuse to put forward martial law without advertising it as such, wait a week or so, then enact it
