I've been troubleshooting a game that wouldn't work on my computer for weeks--WEEKS!--and tonight I finally got it working. The time I spent troubleshooting it was analogous to its own video game and has given me immense satisfaction so the game has given me two games in a way

That was a big reason I downloaded MapleRoyals again--I wanted to "play" dress-up! Dressing up my avatar didn't win me anything or develop a new skill or anything--it was expression. It was play.

I realized the other day that I've engaged in very little "play" recently. I would play games, sure, or play guitar but I would treat these as disciplines I was rigorously trying to master the fundamentals of--a great approach to learn a new skill, but it's not "play!"
