I lost my linoleum carving tool so I got a new one for the holidays. #carved this little #mushroom set as my jump back into #lino. Then I painted it with #watercolor. Fun to revisit an old #art form.

Daumen und Zeigefinger halten ein Minibuch aufgeschlagen, welches im geschlossenen Zustand ca. 2,8 mal 3,8 cm groß ist.

Hab in der ersten Jahreshälfte viel gelesen und dachte, ich schaue mal, was so die Tops und Flops waren. Eigentlich sollten es je 5 Bücher werden, aber da waren dann doch zu viele, die ich mochte. 😄 #lesen #germanbooksky #booksky
Auf dem Foto sind folgende Bücher zu sehen: Hinter den Spiegeln so kalt, Die Ladenhüterin, Uprooted, Dämonen Teufel Hexenglauben, This fatal kiss, die "Silber" und die "not even bones" -Trilogie. Darüber steht: Top 7 2025 in keiner bestimmten Reihenfolge. Trilogien zählen als ein Buch. Auf dem Foto sind von links nach rechts folgende Bücher zu sehen: The Dragon's Promise, Black Dagger - Nachtjagd, Neferets Fluch, Zum Teufel mit Vampiren, Zehn Stories. Darüber steht "schlecht bis geht so" Und über all dem steht: Flop 5 - Bis auf Platz 1 alles Bücherschrank-Funde, von denen ich dachte "kann man ja mal mitnehmen". Hätte alles davon DNFen sollen, aber ich kann nicht! ^^

A collage on canvas. There's too much going on. Blue and golden spirals made of paper, a weired big monster in the middle of the painting made of yellow and green leaves and googly eyes, silver trees, blue branches with gold and purple leaves, a golden sky with purple dots, and the gound is red, so are the mountains in the background. There is also a red origami flower and sprinkled over the whole canvas are white dots that could be snow.

The new part is some pearly sheen over some of the leaves I glued on last time. It's barely noticable in the photo.

The tought behind this was "traveling magician". You can carry it like a bag, and put a wand into the loops to keep it closed. (Don't know why the wand is missing in this picture. ^^) It's size is A4. #bookbinding #buchbinden #buchbinderei #kleinekunstklasse #grimoire
A large, leather-bound book of reddish-brown color. It has brownish pages and two leather clasps, which are closed by pulling a tab through each and then inserting a wand through the tab. (The wand is missing in this image.) A small oval picture frame is incorporated into the cover and further decorated with brass-colored rivets. Above the frame, the words "Encyclopaedia Daemonium" are written in black and gold lettering. Two heavy rings are attached to the back of the book, allowing it to be carried as a bag. It rests on a table covered with a black tablecloth. Around it are a purple gemstone, a glass bottle, an incense burner, two wooden boxes, and a brownish feather.

Two handcrafted roses hang from a forked branch. They are each attached with a clothespin, to which they have been glued, but this is not visible because the flower and a leaf completely conceal them. They are made from egg cartons and painted a very dark red. Red glitter is applied to the edges of the petals. The green leaves have veins made of silver glitter.

A wip on canvas. The new part is some metal leaf gold on the paper spirals, which makes them look a bit like lapislazuli now. Also little golden dots on the blue branches from yesterday. Yellow gingko leaves, green little leaves and pieces of peanut shell are glues over the former texture paste monster. It's googly eyes are still visible.

A wip on canvas. The new stuff is blue branches at the edge of the picture, which have purple leaves that were stamped on with a round sponge. The same sponge was used to stamp purple circles onto the sky. An origami flower made of dark red paper was also glued on.
