The second time just happened and concerns GZDoom. Christoph Oelckers, better known as Graf Zahl, force-pushed a commit to the GZDoom GitHub that was self admittedly made entirely with ChatGPT. This was Christoph's first commit in a year.

Most of the ZDoom devs are very much queer, the original creator is trans, and one of the most active developers is also trans, but yeah sure it was all just transmisogyny. /s

It's been 2 years since the ZDoom forums had the entire administration blow up after it was revealed that they protected a sexual predator, which was very well documented, and said predator (Marisa the Magician) is still believed by quite a few to have only been the victim of transmisogyny.

Southeastern Ohio was a national leader in rail for nearly a century and it was taken from us. The depressing remains of once was are scattered all over my hometown. I drive past them basically daily.

I'm especially enraged about the sorry state of affairs because I'm from one of the original pioneers in rail, Marietta, Ohio. So I have extra reasons to be so fucking bitter as my region was economically destroyed by the deliberate sabotaging of US rail by the automotive industry.

One of the points of my original thread was that GNOME's minimalism is a lie because it's the only desktop environment to need both WebKit and Gecko because it runs JavaScript for the whole UI through GJS, which is literally SpiderMonkey from the Mozilla project and uses WebKit for Epiphany aka Web.

So to be told that I am just using it wrong because I can't do the hyper specific gestures that GNOME insists on is actually pretty insulting and I take it pretty personally as a result. Accessibility matters and GNOME as a project has fundamentally taken an anti-accessibility stance as a project.

So I'm aware that this was full of sarcasm and snark but I need to be serious about this last one. That last issue I brought up is a real thing that I have to deal with because I do in fact suffer from dyspraxia and have some pretty fucked fine motor skills.

Here at GNOME we are always dedicated to making our software accessible to everyone. That's why we broke screen readers for a decade and base our entire workflow on so many gestures that anybody who has fucked up fine motor skills can't use our software. Now that's Accessibility!

Here at GNOME we are always pushing the user experience forwards. That's why if you don't specifically have xdg-desktop-portal-gtk installed then Flatpaks, the only software method we intend on supporting, won't actually work correctly and won't notice your dark mode either!

Desktop icons are sooo last century and here at GNOME we are innovating the desktop computing experience by jumping into the 21st century and removing desktop icons. Oh the desktop folder will still exist, it will just have literally no purpose!
