To give more tidbits. The Nalut'sif are quite reserved and enigmatic, the arrival of the RDA was unfelt by them being they lived far out in the Pandoran sea on an archipelago. So much so locating their territory on a map is near impossible. Making it perfect for Neil to conduct his research. They are incredibly closed off to outsiders which also made it quite astonishing that Neil was permitted to stay, with a lot of requirements of course. If Neil could pass all their rites and assist around with clan duties, he was allowed to stay and use their waters to research the flora and fauna of the sea. However, of course, the RDA started using Neil's research into the Tulkun to their advantage and began their Amrita exploits much earlier than initially in the original universe (later displacing and/or destroying two ocean clans because of disputes over the Tulkun populations). This expanded further to the Nalutsa being harvested for their harder outer shells and teeth for exports to Earth. This fueled the Nalut'sif with an incredible rage, and Neil with an incredible guilt. He was ashamed for how naive he was to believe the RDA wouldn't try anything awful with his research into the incredible animals. There's mention of Tsulpäy, a rite of passage to adulthood within the Nalut'sif that Neil also had to go through. It is granted to them depending on skills and ability rather than age or rank. A coming of age via emotional growth and tolerance for what the Great Mother's seas would force them to endure. The experience is different for every initiate, making no definitive outcome other than having to endure it. Neil is yet to merge with his Avatar. There's an unimaginable amount of hesitancy within him because he knows he wouldn't be able to go back. He will have to make a choice eventually, with Deja Blu being launched to the grounds of Pandora, it's only a matter of time until they find him. And Lorenzo isn't known for his patience.

Sketch of the artist's Recombinant OC, Lorenzo Abbott. He's fully dressed up with red, black, and white warpaint and his gear stripped down to the basics. Along with additional accessories likely provided to him. Lorenzo would never defect, let alone consider working alongside the Na'vi. But nevertheless a very fun concept to work with for him! Mayhaps in another timeline... that beard and long hair combo with him always hits fr Sketch of the artist's Na'vi OC, Kafa Moson'ite. Adorned with the same red, black, and white warpaint. Her clothing is much more monotone to match the paint, making her purple hues stand out a bit more against the warmer toned clothes. I especially loved the way the Mangkwan incorporated bones into a lot of their clothes, albeit maybe not exactly in the way I drew, but wanted to for sure bring that into the design in some way. I imagine Kafa would be intrigued by them, though her loyalties would always lie with her homeclan, the Nsridax.

Lorenzo and Sapum had faced off during the final battle of the Hallelujah Mountains. The flame of a rivalry that grew ever stronger as the years went by, culminating into this singular moment. Lorenzo had been equipped with a Skel suit, though after a grueling battle the suit's arms were torn off by Sapum. And Sapum made sure Lorenzo's death was as agonizing and as long as possible. The Na'vi may have lost that day with the destruction of the Tree of Souls, but Sapum had won his battle. He is yet to learn that Lorenzo is back from the dead, as a Recombinant no less. And he is quite intent on getting back at Sapum. Terrifyingly so. They are both very violet beings who may in the end rip each other apart from their vehement hatred for one another.

A Spartan fruit from James Cameron's world of Pandora. The fruit is mostly devoured, the core remaining and the peals of the fruit fraying from the middle. The right side has a bit more fruit than the left side, and the right side's skin is more crumpled and damaged. The fruit remains from the previous image, this time the heads on each side, revealing that the fruit was a silhouette of a man and a woman. To the left is a native na'vi woman, Seyta (owned by me ~ pastls) and to the right is a recom, Christopher (owned by dahliaflowerss) The woman is closer to the fruit's core, symbolism of her closeness to Eywa and in turn the forest and Pandora. While, Chris' is farther away and the fruit's skin on his side is dehydrated and crumpled. I chose to have just the fruit colored to emphasis their differences and have it remain the focus. However, I was proud with how the faced turned out so the next photo is just the two faced staring at each other. Can you tell I love doodling these two? I love their story and can't wait to delve more into their story! The fruit is no longer shown and its just the faced, remaining colorless. I love how clear their biological appearances are here and having the side where Chris' piercings are visible.
