Today I learned about this cool tidbit. Early video game animation is always fascinating.
Honestly, more money being spent on a superbowl ad than on the entire budget of pokemon ZA is on par for TPC.
I've been said it for years, TPC doesn't care for game development. It's focus has always been on marketing and product, that is how they became the highest grossing franchise in the world.

There has been a lot of buzz around former Atlus staff putting out games this year. Most of it I feel is weirdly negative(except in one case where it is bad), leading to a lot of folks to discounting them before their games are even out.

I'm glad to hear the Digimon is doing so well. I know a lot of folks are expecting the franchise to get a lot of attention but I honestly hope they don't over do it. Digimon has always had a chair at Bandai regardless of how well it was doing. I think where it is at right now is just perfect.
A new Toei financial report mentions how well Digimon is doing. The brand is still solidly the 3rd largest for Toei w/ significant jumps again. This quarter report is through the end of December 2025.
