Dinner with a friend tonight who I haven't seen in years.

You know, when I did a thirty page essay on the tibetan book of the dead (the Bardo Thodol), the cost of the book was so prohibitive that I had to borrow a copy from one of the TAs at Columbia (not a school I attended!!) who borrowed it from the author himself.
And I just bought a copy for $10.89.

Since I can't go anywhere or really do anything outside the house on this week-long vacation, I am simply going to write 13,000 - 20,000 words every day and at the end of my vacation I will have the longest piece of fanfic I've ever written, and it will feel good to have done something on my vacay.

Once you hit about 9k words in one file, ellipsus starts to freak out. One of my only two complaints with it so far, though. (It's almost impossible to use on a phone.) I like it a lot otherwise, it's very useful.

Jackson Wang is going to be here in a couple of months and there are still a ton of tickets (HOW???) so -- my first concert in 12 years will be Jackson. Much less pressure.

I need to figure out why I am making stupid, sloppy mistakes at work, and then fix whatever this problem is. Four sloppy mistakes in 10 days is more than in the whole rest of this fiscal year so far. I don't like it.

I was just telling a friend the story of my last arena show: 2009 (?) Fall Out Boy with blink, the last big show before they broke up. Pete Wentz shaved his head on stage and announced "the death of emo". Heartbreaking, really.

Got my BTS ticket. This will be my first concert since Midtown's reunion at Skate and Surf. When was that, 2014? Literally 12 years.
(I wasn't going to go, but my boss sat me down and convinced me that I need to. It was a very intense conversation that I appreciated a lot.)
