Although I should say Liquitex white did not work. Washed it out immediately after trying it and getting inconsistent flow. Liquitex says the inks are appropriate for "technical pens," which should include Isographs, but testing is still necessary. Trying because I'm searching for lightfast inks.

So far no trouble or clogging, pens wash out fine afterwards. Will keep an eye on them!

Yes, I see it! Funny, I usually try to avoid the ones that come out looking like a face is present. But that's a challenge because we are so good at finding faces!

Little dots. I like how you can see the texture but it invites you to move in to get a closer look. Very cool.

Recent pen plot.

Watercolor paper adds some nice texture. I also like the clean consistent lines produced on smooth papers - different choices for different pictures.

I've been kind of absent from the fxhash scene for a while and I was happy to see you had built something recently! There is something very elegant about these simple arrangements. Nice work!

Got this wonderful #ptpx plotter art postcard from
@mike.teczno.com a little while ago. I love it! It's based on aerial imagery of a copper mine, by photographer Tom Hegen. Thank you, Michal!

Refilled a spent black Micron 0.2mm with Liquitex Acrylic Sap Green and got...well ok I got black because I guess that Micron wasn't as empty as I thought.

Me too! This gif captures it well.

Working on making pleasant curves with a good distribution across the plane. Happy with these. I seem to always look for something that's both complex and minimalist at the same time.

😂 oh my god, accidentally snagging your glasses is the goofiest thing and I've done it so many times.
dangries.bsky.social
Woah that's beautiful!

Thank you, @etchfo.bsky.social for this #ptpx postcard! It's so gloriously green, regular but irregular, and I'm getting lost tracing the lines with my eyes, trying to learn your algorithm secrets. I love it!

(I still need to send mine out! I'm working on it! 😬)

Definitely! Another benefit of this approach is that it prevents the paralysis that can result from trying to be too clever or abstract. Sometimes hacking away at stupid code is what you need to get moving. Although I don't always follow this advice!
