Yeah I previously thought labour would get narrow majority in the next elevation based on an appeal to stability to middle England but I feel they are really struggling to make the case. Maybe a general election will be different.
I get that it helped him get fame, but he has actually got a degree in maths and economics and an MPhil. I wonder why he doesn’t use this more in his arguments why he should be taken seriously compared to “I was a good currency trader”
Does always seem to be an assumptions from sports leadership that you just raise prices and it won’t impact demand… but in realty you hit certain level where many fans just can’t justify the cost.
It’s entirely normal in Turkey and Spain. In Britain sports different histories and culture are so embedded it creates a challenge. Indeed there isn’t even a huge overall between rugby union and football location wise.
I think the Met may have done this differently and have maybe a bit more experience with high profile European games - I can remember Lazio and Belgrade coming to arsenal and being police escorted, held after the game etc.
Students for example have far lower car ownership so this can be designed in, they are far less likely to need a park so you don’t need that- but you might want more bike storage and cycle lanes.
