Yeah I previously thought labour would get narrow majority in the next elevation based on an appeal to stability to middle England but I feel they are really struggling to make the case. Maybe a general election will be different.
Mu guess it would depend on labour majority anywhere where it’s below 35% you’d definitely expect it.
Isn’t the EU run by big business who hate the environment.
I get that it helped him get fame, but he has actually got a degree in maths and economics and an MPhil. I wonder why he doesn’t use this more in his arguments why he should be taken seriously compared to “I was a good currency trader”
He should point to his qualifications to make his case.
Why would it matter - being a trader doesn’t mean you are necessarily good at economics.
I’d guess it’s a path dependency, if you are staying long enough to get ILR there is probably a reason.
Marrying and having children with someone not from the uk with ILR. must be 10,000s… hardly fringe cases.
Many reform voters would in reality be in the dormitories.
Saudi is actually far less like this then say Dubai or Qatar more like 40% foreign resident and is falling.
For sure, but the two examples (Newcastle and Bristol) would not show a huge benefit.
We don’t have the same “clubs” here outside amateur. I think Fernebache claims to be even bigger.
In the 6N you also have a big market of (fairly well off) away fans that can fill the stadiums.
Does always seem to be an assumptions from sports leadership that you just raise prices and it won’t impact demand… but in realty you hit certain level where many fans just can’t justify the cost.
And I wouldn’t say it’s been super successful given the money he has spend (decent stadium).
Bristol is probably the closest (Rugby and Football share an owner and stadium, also I think Basketball all owned by Landsdale.
It’s entirely normal in Turkey and Spain. In Britain sports different histories and culture are so embedded it creates a challenge. Indeed there isn’t even a huge overall between rugby union and football location wise.

I think the Met may have done this differently and have maybe a bit more experience with high profile European games - I can remember Lazio and Belgrade coming to arsenal and being police escorted, held after the game etc.
Have they not heard of like Uber? Or Amazon?
Too many times our police forget it’s their job to police things not stop things happening.
Maybe - was thinking that there is a maximum willingness to pay some of that cost would be borne by the landlord.
Students for example have far lower car ownership so this can be designed in, they are far less likely to need a park so you don’t need that- but you might want more bike storage and cycle lanes.
