Hi I'm Dan 👋 I'm 💍 to an awesome beautiful woman, I love the outdoors 🏔️ and I'm here to talk GAMES!
Some favourite series:
🤠 RDR
🐉 Elder Scrolls
⚔️ The Witcher
☢️ STALKER, Metro & Fallout
🚀 Mass Effect
💉 Bioshock
🧟♂️ State of Decay
I've played all Fallout games since 3 but never tried the classics. It's the full vanilla version so I'm expecting a rough go of it, but the tone, music & background sound from the get go are just 🤌

Days Gone didn't disappoint. Its setting and mechanics are instantly appealing for post-apocalyptic fans. And some of its design even reminded me of RDR2.
Though some important - and awesome - stuff is bizarrely hidden in the post-credit content and I got no clue why.

A small feature but one I really appreciate.

I now get why so many refer to this type of gaming as cosy & immersive. Took me a few days to adjust, to the point where I thought handhelds simply weren't for me.
Now I'm totally hooked.
Hope everyone's well!

I think I've made a mistake when I said 2026 would be the year I'd focus on the backlog instead of buying any games 😬

Not keen on early access so I'll be waiting for the full release (which I assume will take years), but definitely keeping an eye on this one.

Yeah I don't think I have

The Outer Worlds 2 capped off an incredible year for Obsidian, and this felt like a true additive sequel that we don't see very often.
The Outer Worlds, but bigger and better!

(amazing how a game like this looks and plays on a handheld these days btw)

If I'm getting to all of them? Lmao of course not. But I'll be thrilled if I can clear at least 1 of these 4 images 🤞

Days Gone is one of the 4 titles that ever made me consider getting a PS. Can't wait to sink my teeth into it, seems so up my alley.

KCD2 is now my all-time #4, 1 of my top favourites got an amazing remake, played the best version of the post-apocalyptic game I always wanted to try, consolidated 11 Bit as my favourite indie studio, and much more. What a year it was.

Everybody usually does top 3 or top 10, so here's my top 15 of the 2025 games I've played last year cause why not

And Roger is too short a playthrough, possibly to its detriment, but it is also very effective in its storytelling. Easy to recommend even from a gameplay standpoint as it does quite a few interesting things.

Quite a few double dips in here but honestly how can you resist these sales 😭

Hard to define, but Heading Out is essentially this narrative-driven game that mixes arcade racing, basic management and simple choice & consequence in a high stakes 'escape' scenario. An original idea that I'd love to see explored in more depth.
