Been a while since I've done one of these so I figured why not?

Hi I'm Dan 👋 I'm 💍 to an awesome beautiful woman, I love the outdoors 🏔️ and I'm here to talk GAMES!

Some favourite series:

🤠 RDR
🐉 Elder Scrolls
⚔️ The Witcher
☢️ STALKER, Metro & Fallout
🚀 Mass Effect
💉 Bioshock
🧟‍♂️ State of Decay
Put 5 games up to a vote and Fallout 1 came out on top, so that's the one I'll be diving into next.

I've played all Fallout games since 3 but never tried the classics. It's the full vanilla version so I'm expecting a rough go of it, but the tone, music & background sound from the get go are just 🤌

What a way to start the year!

Days Gone didn't disappoint. Its setting and mechanics are instantly appealing for post-apocalyptic fans. And some of its design even reminded me of RDR2.

Though some important - and awesome - stuff is bizarrely hidden in the post-credit content and I got no clue why.

Never gets old

Please give me more games that change the main menu based on in-game choices 🙏

A small feature but one I really appreciate.

Haven't been posting much lately, just been absorbed by Days Gone on the Legion Go S.

I now get why so many refer to this type of gaming as cosy & immersive. Took me a few days to adjust, to the point where I thought handhelds simply weren't for me.

Now I'm totally hooked.

Hope everyone's well!

Out of my top 20 most anticipated games that have already been announced, SEVEN are set to release this year.

I think I've made a mistake when I said 2026 would be the year I'd focus on the backlog instead of buying any games 😬

I was a *big* fan of Black & White back in the day so I'm quite curious about Master of Albion.

Not keen on early access so I'll be waiting for the full release (which I assume will take years), but definitely keeping an eye on this one.
Peter Molyneux's Masters of Albion, which he bills as his final game, gets a new trailer and an April release date. gameinformer.com/2026/01/12/p...

More Days Gone shenanigans to brighten up a gloomy Monday.

In the increasingly apocalyptic reality we find ourselves in this has been my comfort post-apocalyptic world to escape into 🥹

Some games I look back on very fondly and would probably score differently if I replayed them now

Continuing to have an absolute blast with #DaysGone

Heading into the RAMpocalypse of 2026 with all the tech I'll ever need 💪

Have I told you all how much I love post-apocalyptic worlds?

Yeah I don't think I have

Inspired by @danvmaul.bsky.social and his "Game # of" posts, I thought I'd share mine for 2026 similarly :)

The Outer Worlds 2 capped off an incredible year for Obsidian, and this felt like a true additive sequel that we don't see very often.

The Outer Worlds, but bigger and better!

It didn't take long man I love this game already 😭

Well if nothing else I can at least say I'm starting out with the best of intentions! Loving Days Gone as expected.

(amazing how a game like this looks and plays on a handheld these days btw)

I said this year I wanted to focus on my backlog and that includes some lofty goals and heavy hitters (I'm not even including the Assassin's Creed series here).

If I'm getting to all of them? Lmao of course not. But I'll be thrilled if I can clear at least 1 of these 4 images 🤞
January 2, 2026 at 4:38 PM
My goal this year is to make a serious dent on my backlog so I decided I'm going to focus on its big titles. Starting with this bad boy.

Days Gone is one of the 4 titles that ever made me consider getting a PS. Can't wait to sink my teeth into it, seems so up my alley.

Now for ranking all games I beat in 2025.

KCD2 is now my all-time #4, 1 of my top favourites got an amazing remake, played the best version of the post-apocalyptic game I always wanted to try, consolidated 11 Bit as my favourite indie studio, and much more. What a year it was.

Happy New Year you wonderful creatures you! If you had an awesome 2025 hope this one's at least as good, it if was a sucky 1 then may 2026 be LIGHT YEARS better 🥳🎇

Everybody usually does top 3 or top 10, so here's my top 15 of the 2025 games I've played last year cause why not
January 1, 2026 at 3:33 PM
Last one of 2025 for me and I can see why some speak so highly of it.

And Roger is too short a playthrough, possibly to its detriment, but it is also very effective in its storytelling. Easy to recommend even from a gameplay standpoint as it does quite a few interesting things.

Since I'm committed not to buy anything new next year before I make a serious dent on my backlog, I've decided to do one last Steam haul before 2025 was over.

Quite a few double dips in here but honestly how can you resist these sales 😭

Another cool end-of-year surprise!

Hard to define, but Heading Out is essentially this narrative-driven game that mixes arcade racing, basic management and simple choice & consequence in a high stakes 'escape' scenario. An original idea that I'd love to see explored in more depth.
