Yesterdays vismig totals from Marcle Ridge in a barely perceptible southerly with low cloud included another 5 Crossbills NW, 64 Mipits SW, 6 albas SW, 38 Skylarks SW, 26 Chaffinches SE/SW, 1 Song Thrush NW, 1 Siskin SW and 1 Reed Bunt SW, still no Redwings although Continental chaffs arriving

Slow overhead at Marcle Ridge in a brisk SSE with only 42 Swallows, 3 Mipits & 3 Grey Wags SW/SE but more than made up for with 5 juvenile Whinchats strung along the wires with 3 Stonechats, a couple of Mipits and resting Swallows making a perfect September scene #patchbirding
