I /really/ love this Langa, if you can't tell. He's sassy, he's traumatized, and he says "fuck it" quite a bit. I should draw him in the outfit I put him in for this chapter..

Langa got playfully blamed for the turbulence on the plane ride home because he couldn't keep it together to pray for safe travels like they were there to do. He left out why the story confused him for a long time, religious doubt seemed too heavy to bring up with a stranger but the closer he got to home, the further the thought of consequences became. Langa had requested Reki keep texting him while he took a stupid amount of public transportation to get home from the airport, when he probably should have insisted Reki put his fucking phone down if he was “just watching TV with Em.” Reki was a grown up making his own decisions and Langa was not the person to be giving relationship advice anyway. Besides, he selfishly appreciated those decisions and apart from a good morning text, the exchanges so far were wholly casual. Or what Langa assumed to be casual. He'd never gotten to know anyone he wasn't stuck in a room with for one reason or another. He certainly didn't have a baseline for talking to someone over texts like he was chatting with Reki or even a reference for what messaging someone not for sex was like. His inbox didn't even have unsaved numbers… He kept that shit on a different app.

I keep seeing posts asking if there are any alternatives to Duolingo for Japanese that don't use AI, and yes there are!!!

Also Mango languages might be free through libraries, but they use AI in course creation.

I'm having so much fun with chemistry of a car crash, I want to make chapter previews again. No idea what my update schedule will be but the first one is a good time.. for a little bit.. Ay we love a meet ugly :)
