I draw and write stuff. I've created a comic called “Eternal Beach City” about a seaside metropolis where lifeguards rule — with a very laid back fist. Basically, I’m establishing a cult of personality based around cute girls that lower your defenses.
It was fun revisiting the OB/GYN doctor and updating the set for his exam room, considering how much I’ve learned and refined my process since his last appearance.

I really should have known that animating a looping stream ‘n splash of lotion would be more complicated than just one pass and done. “How hard could it be?!” I foolishly thought. But I thought it would “look cool” so, what choice did I really have?

For those of you whose curiosity has been sparked by this perennial debate, I’ve gone ahead and saved you the Wikipedia search by scattering all the pages of the necessary articles on the ground of the fourth panel. All ya gotta do is zoom way WAY in and you can read them all!

If Neil deGrasse Tyson gets on me about the stars in my sky here not being “scientifically accurate”, I’m going to have a fit! And no, I wouldn’t say that he should cut me some slack because I’m just one person and don’t have a team of hundreds working under me like Jimmy Cam-cam did for Titanic.

Speaking of biometric identification, apparently fingerprints, eyes and faces aren’t the only things on your body that can uniquely identify you. I guess ear, lip and tongue prints also distinguish you as the one-of-a-kind snowflake you are!

I wish Siri and Alexa would allow your “trigger name” to be anything other than the four words they let you pick. I get that it has to be distinct enough from other words to get confused and start listening when you say “I’m ready to start boozin’” instead of “Susan”. But let ME figure that out!

Happy Halloween!… -ish… close to. Look. Perhaps both designing and then executing all the required detail for the various costumes took more time than initially expected. It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun figuring out their outfits and what they should be.

Did you know the original jack-o-lanterns were turnips? I guess before vegetable-based, face-carving enthusiasts came to the U.S. of A, their best available canvas was this unwieldy root vegetable. Then people came across pumpkins and were like “oh, FUCK that!”

For the “apples” in the bucket (that’s definitely not just a red Solo cup) the guy who does Pink Taco Club suggested I use Runts candies. I loved this idea and immediately went out to Walmart’s dustiest shelf in the clearance aisle to pick up a box.
Turns out though, Runts don’t float. Booo!
