Jeppe Tverskov on the San Diego fanbase: "We have landed in a football city. It feels like from the first day I was here, the second you get here you feel the passion. It's just in people's blood, it's not something you can just create. It's real."

Jeppe Tverskov on San Diego FC's run: "We've had a good season but we want more. Sometimes as a player you also have a feeling that you have something special with a new team. I think we're on that wave right now, we feel it all. Sometimes when we click we really, really click."

Aztecs lose to Troy, No. 135 on KenPom. Tough one to have on your resume.

Worst non-conference loss in a long time, at least since Brown and USD beat them in Viejas in 2018.
November 19, 2025 at 5:51 AM
In the Aztecs’ five Mountain West wins they’ve allowed a total of 48 points.
November 16, 2025 at 6:40 AM
Huge answer for the Aztecs after last week’s disastrous loss.

Won ugly in a battle for first place with Boise.

SDSU is alone stop the Mountain West standings, in the driver’s seat for a spot in the title game.

Suddenly the delay in getting A.J. Preller’s deal done makes a whole lot of sense.

Jason Adam said there's a chance he will be healthy in time for Opening Day. If not then he expects to be able to pitch early in the season.
November 11, 2025 at 1:31 AM
A.J. Preller: "We've spent a couple 15 hour days with Ruben and Craig talking about how we can be better... (Ruben) is gonna have a big time voice in it. He's gonna continue to get more opportunity not just to help the pitchers."

Sounds like Niebla might get a new job title.
November 10, 2025 at 10:01 PM
"I hope they see how I treat my family and treat my kids and feel that I'm treating them in a similar manner. Treating them like family."

Wants to push them, but also wants to partner with them to achieve their goals. Hope to challenge his best friends to see them succeed.
November 10, 2025 at 6:33 PM
Stammen on the idea of pitching again: "The thought of throwing multiple major league pitches right now makes me body hurt. My brain is willing but the body is not."
November 10, 2025 at 6:29 PM
Stammen on Ruben Niebla: "I think it's gonna be great. I have so much respect for Ruben."

Said he saw his process behind the scenes last two years and how he gets the best out of players.

Will rely on Ruben the most, believes he's one of the best coaches in the sport.
November 10, 2025 at 6:21 PM
Stammen says the support of past teammates and coaches made him believe that this was possible. Had to get over the stigma of being a pitcher and a reliever at that.
November 10, 2025 at 6:15 PM
Preller: "I know nationally it may be a little bit of a surprise, anybody that's been around Craig in San Diego... I think it was a pretty easy fit."
November 10, 2025 at 6:09 PM
Preller says the COVID season showed his decision making skills on top of his leadership. Pushed back on ownership in a well thought out manner when necessary. They knew at that point they'd want to keep him around the organization after he retired.
November 10, 2025 at 6:08 PM
A.J. Preller introducing Craig Stammen: "It's been a decade in the making."

Said Craig has a unique lense, was part of the teams that laid the foundation and those who made the playoffs and had success. Has had a front row seat to the disappointments as well.
