From director Michael Findlay's Wikipedia entry: Findlay died in a helicopter accident on the roof of the Pan Am Building in NYC. Passengers were boarding when the landing gear failed and it tipped over. Findlay was slashed to death as the spinning rotors detached and disintegrated. #Riffotronic
