trying to romanticize fall in Kyiv — not really working so far
darynant.bsky.social
Kyiv, why are you doing this to us? Like, isn’t fall this year depressing enough already?

What other girls order online: makeup, clothes, bags, Labubu.

What I order: a radiator.

First really cold week in Kyiv…

Somebody wake me up in April — I’m so not ready to freeze for the next few months😭

He already has a “digital twin” that can talk in his voice, and now he’s working on localizing an open-source LLM on Ukrainian servers.

Here’s how he plans to make Ukraine AI-first state👇🏻

Ukraine-coded is when you spent the whole day at a conference yesterday, did several interviews, got zero sleep because of an air raid alert, packed your suitcase, hit a boxing class in the morning, and now you’re about to spend eight hours on a train back to Kyiv. Wish me luck

In a series of statements, Sapphos initially characterized the disclosure as an “attempted attack by malicious actors,” at one point suggesting it had been orchestrated by a group of men. The developers later acknowledged a security oversight.

The view from your gym when your neighbor is Russia.

It has been damaged twice by Russian drone strikes in the past two months — and it hasn’t closed for a single day.

Seeing Americans complain that Radiohead isn’t touring the U.S. this year, meanwhile I’m in Ukraine — and it takes me twice the time to get from Kyiv by bus or train to any European show than it would take most people in the States to fly across the ocean...

Me, wondering why I’m so apathetic, exhausted, and on the verge of fainting almost every day…

Turns out my iron levels are so low that my doctor actually asked how I’m even able to walk with ferritin that low☠️

Kyiv’s been a mess today — nonstop air raid alerts, drone strikes, distant explosions and traffic jams everywhere. On top of that, I’ve got a terrible headache.

Anyway, just needed to vent.

The Russian attack on Kyiv lasted all night. I sat in the bathroom, counting explosions, trying to steady my breathing.

I wasn’t afraid. I wasn’t even angry. With every strike, with every death, it feels like another piece of me disappears — leaving only emptiness behind.
