It's a theor, but having worked in broadcasting years ago I specifically remember that specific challenge coming to mind at the time...but hey its my opinion... might be broad interpretation, but I think there's room for it . But im not a lawyer

Violation of broadcast standards over the air stations must meet. A good lawyer might come up with many more. The fcc can pull a stations papers for almost next to nothing if they choose.

Cable. About 9 or ten years ago they allowed over the air fox affiliates to present their content as a national news broadcast . The amount of libel lawsuits alone is enough to go after them or at least the affiliates that broadcast them at the time. I.e. using their entertainment product and

I already have . I can't make it any more simple. They ceased to be unregulated cable company when they allowed local affiliates to use their early attempt of a national news broadcast as over the air content. Thus leaving room to challenge the cable network fantasy protection.

Not a take its a clear violation. But in the 9 years or so since it occurred things have become lawless. But eventually someone will grasp onto it ..but its a loss leader / write off for the nazi running it so in a year or two it will be a home shopping network where magats can buy their child porn.

When they allowed the local affiliates to use and promote their content as national news they became part of over the air access fcc Controled jurisdiction. The reason they dont promote it now as fox news...the second they crossed over they should have been pulled off the air.

It's not a news station, so its liscence can be pulled for any of a thousand violations. Allowing an entertainment network to use news in its name when it has testified in court it has no need to be honest because it is an entertainment network is enough under fcc regulations to pull its license.
