Sadly since my WordPress account is the free version, I can't manage references with a plugin and I only can use footnotes, in which case I need to repeat links since I can't reuse a previous reference. Some of the links will be doubled because of this.

I'll also be listing all the resources I used online that I can. So far there are more than 40 links, but this isn't including the books I used photos since I can directly show the images (But book sources are also mentioned in the disclaimer).

The remaining topics are still fully incomplete, but besides the main information found in the books, I'll still be including information about Digimon and other subjects as before. There are a lot of interesting tidbits on Digimon said by Konaka, and I want to gather them all.

The next stage will be discussing the Digital World and the Network, how the terminology is used, the division of the layers, and interesting aspects found in all of them. Looking at what I was archiving, there's a lot more than I expected, but should be faster than past topics.

So far, I already finished everything I think I needed to do discuss the concept of the Digital World in Tamers, and also finished explaining the Real World and the mechanism that allows Digimon to go there with ReArise and the Digital Field.

Some of the elements even predate Digimon Tamers and come from Konaka's other works, which, unknown even to him, were inherited and formed a somewhat disconnected "Network Trilogy" that depicts his view of cyberspace and how it evolved. I want to show what I learned from this.

And even with what is explained in the series, there are many aspects not detailed clearly. Such as the nature of Metaphorize and how can a human go to the Digital World, this type of thing was only discussed outside the series in books and writer commentary.

The objective is to complement the series with details not found in it. Even with an anime that tried to explain things as much as Tamers, there's also a lot that is missing. For example, there's a very important element to Digimon ReArising not directly explained in the series.

With Tamers, the mechanism of how a Digimon appears in the Real World was explained two times, giving us a very detailed breakdown of how it works that is completely missing from most other projects. But most viewers know this, so why is my post taking so long?

Among all Digimon works, Tamers was one that had a very defined worldview that was not only set, but publicly released and used in the story.
Other works like Digimon Adventure also have a lot of lore, but most of it was kept unused in the series and not even written down.

This year is Digimon Tamers' 25th anniversary, and my next post will be a Worldview Discussion and Summary. Basically, I wanted to gather all existing material about the world of Tamers and make a resource that will make it all easy to learn and verify.

I really hope I don't need to do it again tomorrow, but if I do, I at least hope it can still be fixed. I'm doing a lot of continuous work with my PC open the whole day trying to finish it before it's beyond repair.
I expect that my tendency to overwrite doesn't go too far.

When I repaired my PC today, it came back with the App problems for the notepad, photos, and even screenshot. So it took time for me to verify some of the images I'm using in the post. But after some time passed the apps started working again.

Although the Digital World section is already divided, right now it's just a collection scans from Digimon Tamers book I had access and aren't organized with explanation texts yet. So I only consider the parts until the Digital Field and ReArise sections as finished.

It took time, but I think I finally finished the more difficult parts of my Digimon Tamers text. I still need to divide and organize the unfinished topics, but it should be easier now.
If my PC turns on tomorrow, I'll do a breakdown showing what I have been working on.

It took time, but I think I finally finished the more difficult parts of my Digimon Tamers text. I still need to divide and organize the unfinished topics, but it should be easier now.

After a heavy rain, a leak almost took my computer. Today, the boot problem was back.
That old USB Drive is really making it work past its expiration date by forcing a critical SSD to try to remain with uncorrupted files.
One day it won't work anymore, but I hope it can still last a little longer.

I think the only constant thing that didn't change is that four-legged characters are harder to animate than bipedal ones, in which case, I still expect anime projects to not rely heavily on these types of characters 😅

Even if the average fan might still not be fan of the non-humanoid designs, those who are fans are very loud and you can expect to have a higher purchasing power than when they were children, so you can even release premium products targeting a small, but powerful fanbase.

And naturally, this is something that changes. That Digimon livestream was from about 2018, speaking about things that happened when the series was new in the late 90s and early 2000s, naturally the preferences of who enjoys Digimon now and the why has changed in major ways.

Like, Digimon certainly tried to please the Tokusatsu and Kaiju fans, it was made by those who were fans themselves, but this doesn't mean that those watching the series were attracted to the series because of it, which reflected in the toy sales.

Just because a series tried to target a certain audience, it doesn't mean it's going to get there. So even if they tried to please Giant Monster fans, since they couldn't get them (Or not enough), all they did was displease the non-fans, decreasing the popularity.

Seeing some of the reaction from this on the other site reminded me of that Dragon Ball interview with Toriyama's editors in which they said that although things like the Oozaru form were added to be exciting, the popularity decreased.

Of course, "likely". Things aren't set in stone, and the preferences of fans and staff can change all the time.

As I looked back into Kakudou's tweets about the theme from almost 15 years ago, it seems there were a lot of Japanese fans who were completely unaware of that, and even some among those who worked in Digimon.
I wonder if it's more well-known now.
