Outlines can feel like a wall of text, and they limit the information you can include in the planning stage of your manuscript. Use a content organizer to better tackle your book.

Sit down and start writing. Do it now. Do it every morning while you sip your coffee. Make a date with your laptop or preferred writing instrument and protect that writing time. Just do it.

When I started writing my novel, I followed the guidelines I’d been taught: 1” margins, size 12 Times New Roman, etc. But there are much easier and more beneficial ways to style your manuscript.
