Amazing 50th Anniversary Pilgrimage at Notre Dame College School yesterday. Wonderful that so many alumni and reps from other Niagara Catholic schools joined in. Congratulations to students, staff, and organizers for continuing the tradition of putting our faith into action — “feet to the gospel.”
Looking forward to walking the Notre Dame College School Pilgrimage this Sunday! Hey, Class of ‘88, see you there?
So wonderful to see and hear Mark Lalama and “Alarm Alarm” perform at the Performing Arts Centre tonight in St. Catharines (aka the Walter-Ostanek-accordion-City)! Great family, friends, and fans reunion!
Today, on National Day for #TruthAndReconciliation, let’s recognize the impact of residential schools, and the painful, ongoing effects on all Indigenous peoples.
Let’s also commit to working to achieve “free, prior, and informed consent” when taking actions which may which impact them.

Rest in peace, Jim.
A tireless leader & advocate for St. Catharines & for the Niagara Peninsula.
He was a mentor for me as Mayor & Councillor — he graciously offered much advice and help.
Thank you for your 55-years of dedicated public service in elected office.

How refreshing! Great to see a community paper with these Guiding Principles.
(Thanks to the family member who picked up the Paris Independent as they traveled through Paris, Ontario, today.)

Thanks Councillors @lauraip.bsky.social & Morocco for moving and @niagararegion.bsky.social for unanimously endorsing the Code of Conduct to Prevent Human Trafficking tonight!
The Code provides strategies to develop a zero-tolerance approach to Human Trafficking in the #NiagaraRegion.
Hot out again tonight but making progress on replacing the floor in our pergola. Reusing old wood again. 🔨 🪚
Great and inspiring session last night about the unprecedented power grab by the Provincial Government with some recent legislation. Thanks to Seniors for Climate in Niagara for organizing.
Really enjoyed the wonderful production of "Major Barbara" at the Shaw Festival yesterday. Shaw's 1905 themes of salvation & poverty and money & gunpowder may be more relevant and revealing in the world of today.
Congratulations to the entire cast and crew!
A great group learning and using the Basadur Applied Innovation problem-solving process this week! Thanks for your energy, your curiosity, and your commitment to defining and solving complex problems.

Bill 5 gives the Ford Gov’t unfettered power to name anywhere a "special economic zone” with no development rules.
It could lead to a pipeline up the #BruceTrail, miningQueenston Heights, even a casino on the brink of #NiagaraFalls.
