You’ve got to be kidding me? Calibri and accessible typefaces are now DEI/woke concepts?

One consistent thing that I noticed AI does is makes people feel like experts in subjects they aren't privy. There's a major uptick in communications where I am by far a subject matter expert but the opposing individual believes because they've prompted AI they can speak at a similar level. 1/3

Had the biggest LMAO while waiting in line at Canadian Tire.

A guy at the self-checkout was dazed & confused. Calls the attendant over and says "how do I continue checkout"?

She says: you press the big red button!
He replies: in nature red is usually the colour of danger

As a student of UX, LOL.

“What you don’t change, you choose”

Probably the best piece of advice I’ve heard in the past few years. Seems simple and obvious, but it hit me in the right moment.

I wanted to create a browser based MMPOG which let me to learning backend first. Then I built a POS/business platform for my family’s business, which lead me to building e-commerce systems and others before I was 20.

Recent conversations with three separate youths I know & respect leave me shook. Each of them believes that single-party or authoritarian systems may be valuable, justifiable or even necessary in the future.

The brain rot is deeper than I ever imagined. We've lost or close to losing democracy. 😔

There's so much brain rot in society today. Someone just told me that they actually believe that "laws are just guidelines" and then "no one really follows or listens to them".

I can't believe we're at a point where the very existence of standards is now questionable.

I listened to the Reagan speech the Ontario government quoted, and no honest person could claim it was taken out of context. But what interested me more was the next clip that autoplayed, where he connects the American founding to the rejection of tariffs. 🔥🔥🔥

This is good news. Canadians are proud of Alberta as well. We should definitely do a better job of listening to their concerns and supporting their rise and help them diversify their industries. 🍁🇨🇦
