Really enjoying Eric's Batober pieces - taking scenes from episodes of Batman '66 and drawing those same scenes with modern-day Bat-designs.

My son’s been really into Bronze Age DC lately, so he made out like a bandit in the dollar bins at the show.
Eight comic books featuring Batman and various villains such as Calendar Man, Crazy Quilt, Scarecrow, Deadshot, and The Joker. Ten comic books featuring Batman, Green Lantern, the Fantastic Four, The Flash, and Superman.

Anybody have a spare $15k lying around and wanna buy me Frank Gorshin's Riddler costume?

Picked these up at the show for 50 cents each because they said they were missing pages. I haven’t gone through yet to see how many or if they affect the story too much.
Silver age copies of Detective Comics with Carmine Infantino art, one of which is the first Cluemaster. Two copies of Detective Comics from the Silver Age - “Prisoners of the Giant Robots” and “Batman’s First Case.”

Same! Hoping the rumblings that James Gunn might launch a Jimmy Olsen TV series pan out.

It was a little water-stained, but nothing that ruined the joy of that sweet Toth art!

Some dollar bin finds at yesterday’s show.
A smattering of comics, including Superman annual 9, an issue of Chili, some Jimmy Olsens and a 70s Archie.

A great time meeting and chatting with people at Uticon, benefitting the American Cancer Society.

C’mon, you gremmies, hodads, and hot doggers.
Comic book panel from a Silver Age Teen Titans story with surfers paddling through the water shouting “C’mon you gremmies, hodads, and hot doggers! The surf in’s fine!”

What a strange time to be living through that has simultaneously made me care so little for some things and so fervently for others.

I'll be at Uticon this weekend at Mohawk Valley Community College - a great little one-day show that benefits the American Cancer Society.
A screenshot of a post from the Uticon Facebook page, highlighting Dave as a guest, with images of his various work such as Lacey & Lily, Lucy and the Ghost Take the Stage, Look Out! Here Comes The Mope! and The Little Lamp.

Went to the Scholastic Book Fair and it was like Black Friday for elementary students.

Mere coincidence that #NationalComicBookDay falls on @comicsinthega.bsky.social's birthday?

Hope it's a great one!

Always the highlight of anything she’s in. She gave an incredible one-woman radio performance in a truly chilling 1940s episode of Suspense called “Sorry, Wrong Number.”

While we cruise into fall and spooky season, gonna do a little #kidlit self-plug for "Lucy and the Ghost Take the Stage!" - some ghostly fun that's not spooky for the little ones and a love letter to the performing arts.

With adorable illustrations by Karen Crysttina.

Copies of "Lucy and the Ghost Take the Stage!" sit on a wooden table. They feature a young girl in overalls sitting on a stage while a friendly ghost peeks behind a curtain.

Just requested it from my library upon your recommendation! I have not read this one, but I did read the one by Bob Thomas a few years back. It was well done, but it seemed to lean a bit toward the family approval/corporate polish side of things. Looking forward to this one.

If you're so inclined, I highly recommend "The Disney Revolt" by Jake S. Friedman.
Book with a black and white cover of Disney animators of the 1930s/40s on strike. Red font reads "The Disney Revolt."
