Just looking through my old threads I discovered this Over 50s travel pack. What's rather depressing is that no new people have been added in nearly 9 months. Has the steam run out on BlseSky???

City Walls, Nanjing, China
Dating back some 700 years, Nanjing’s city walls are the most extensive in China. Originally extending for some 37 miles in length, it took a million people to build them over a period of 28 years.

Cai Rang Floating Market, near Can Tho in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam, is a magical place to visit. Although spectacular to the visitor it is an everyday part of daily life for those living in this part of delta. #travel #MekongDelta #CaiRangFloatingMarket #CanTho

Is it me or has some of the energy disappeared out of this site.
I get a lot less interactions now than earlier this year and last.
Come on you travel addicts, let's get this site working for us again.

Veliko Turnovo in Bulgaria has it all. Picturesque buildings, panoramic views and even a castle. An ideal stop over if you are travelling by train from Bucharest to Sofia.

Yes, you're right- I should add him to my list - his book about Britain was interesting, if a little bit disrespectful of us English people's ability to be miserable.
Perhaps we just are though, Paul Theroux's book about the UK came to the same conclusion - I.e. we are continually miserable

This photo was taken on Tibet’s high plateau. It was part of a solo travel adventure starting in Shanghai and travelling by train across China and Tibet to Lhasa and then onward by road to the Tibet / Nepal border and Kathmandu. The whole trip took about a month.
This is the Potala Palace in Lhasa. It sits some 130m above the Lhasa River valley and dominates the area. The palace is the religious home of the exiled Dalai Lama and a major pilgrimage site for Tibetan Buddhists. #potalapalacelhasa #DalaiLama #LhasaTibet #RoofoftheWorld
