Tankies love to act like the American military is some evil monolith, but the truth is that the vast majority of American service-members are decent people who reflect the society they come from.

Reporting about the tragedy in DC really irks me.
Talking about, “National Guard members” like they’re, “members of the local knitting club.”
They’re American soldiers and airmen. They wear a uniform just like active duty. Our enemies see them the same. Report on them appropriately.

I’m in DC often and the NG deployment is ridiculous but those troops’ conduct was exemplary in every encounter I had with them.
