Prejurors are not kept the whole season -- just til the jury is about to start. And he was sent to a hospital in Australia, so he was already away from them for at least several days. No reason to send him back there with his baby on the way.

I wouldn’t say I’m offended but definitely surprised — I thought it was one of the worst episodes I remember. (And judging from around here, I definitely wasn’t alone.) Just no tension whatsoever, no chance at a change of outcome. It made me wish I hadn’t watched live so I could fast forward.
