Great reminder that many academics prefer to handwring about anti-imperialists than do anything to oppose imperialism
Great reminder that much of the far-left’s presence within the pro-Palestinian movement has been driven less by concern for Palestinian lives and more by an ideological obsession with opposing the West at all costs, even when it means legitimizing mass-murdering regimes, from Assad’s Syria to Iran.

He does not “come out” of that movement. He was supported by that movement, which now finds itself in an uncomfortable situation as junior partner. Seems like an important distinction
SEAN O'BRIEN IS A DEMOCRATIC UNIONIST!

This is a big part of my point about the cult of democratic unionism. O'Brien comes out of the democratic unionist movement in the Teamsters! It is not better!

One of the most important and infuriating stories I read this year:
When Families Need Housing, Georgia Will Pay for Foster Care Rather Than Provide Assistance
In more than 700 cases over five years, Georgia reported inadequate housing as the sole reason for taking a child into foster care, a WABE and ProPublica analysis found. Advocates say it would be chea...

We had great discussion & participated in democratically shaping our union last Sunday at our General Meeting! So nice to see both new & familiar faces. Looking forward to continuing to fight for tenants' rights in 2025!

TTU MEMBERS: If you pre-ordered a shirt, good news! They are finally here! Come grab one at our next general meeting, or message us about picking one up!

These shirts are super comfy and are the perfect addition to your canvass/court watch/protest/daily fit! (Plus...they're union-printed)
