As an Australian, I love visiting America, but nervous about having to give passwords for devices/email in order to be granted entry (and would be breaking rules with my employer). I would be interested in recent (positive or negative) experiences by Australians going through US Customs.

Where were you when Whitlam was dismissed? Fifty years ago, to the hour, I was having a piano lesson in Manuka (old CSM) and my teacher's husband interrupted to say that Whitlam has been sacked. I quickly went across to parliament house, a short bicycle ride away, and got caught up in this crowd 1/2

Just drove from Sydney to Melbourne and as usual obsessed with the odometer (an integral calculus machine!), excited that it was about to show 123456, but got distracted in thoughts and went well past that special number before I checked again! Blinked and missed an important life event!
