As a dude who has written some things, I was impressed with the ending choice. In some ways that ending was the only way it could have ended, given the histories, but it couldn't have been "easy" to decide.

Check the timestamps. On CNN’s website, the uploaded interview starts at 2:52. On their YouTube page, the upload starts at 2:47. The “plenary authority” comment by Miller was at 2:41, as shown in my side-by-side video post. CNN should be reporting on what Miller said. It’s news!

In TUM, people have literally become commodities, with exchanges and markets based entirely on investment in individual ownership. The protagonist, the only one not so owned, tries to fix this system.

I get the impression the crypto devotees probably thought the author fucked up a great premise.
